Why I love... The Woman in Black
Much of the filming for the supernatural horror film took place at the extravagant Northamptonshire residence, which dates back to the 17th century, when the poet John Dryden stayed frequently while visiting relatives. It's set in more than four acres. The striking Grade I-listed hall features limestone walls, stone mullioned windows with leaded lights and a traditional Collyweston stone slate roof. The Mysterious Girl singer once rented the house so he could live near the sea but still be close enough to London. Sliding glass doors lead out to the impressive garden, where a heated plunge pool and jacuzzi await.

The Woman in the Window
The Woman in Black is an acclaimed ghost story from Susan Hill. The ghost of a scorned woman, the Woman in Black, will catch Arthur in this mysterious and spine-chilling tale. The film crew spent four days on-scene dressing up the exterior for the three-day shoot. Even though it actually rained during shooting, a rain machine helped set the gloomy atmosphere so that the rain drops could show on film. Surprisingly, one of the issues the team faced was the great condition the owners kept the house. The weeds, ivy, and other delapidated accessories you see in the film had to be added for the film. Its perilous and dark atmosphere in addition to the surrounding salt marshes offered the ideal location. You can see this path linking Osea Island to the mainland in the film.

Not since young Hutter arrived at Orlok's castle in " Nosferatu " has a journey to a dreaded house been more fearsome than the one in "The Woman in Black. In this case, a green, Victorian-era attorney named Arthur Kipps Daniel Radcliffe is visiting a haunted house in the north of England, which can be reached only by a single-track road on a long, narrow causeway that lies so low in a brackish sea that the waters lap its edges. Arthur's mission is to search the decrepit gothic mansion for the papers of its late occupant. This woman is said to haunt the house in mourning for her dead child. Local legend has it that the ghost is responsible for the deaths of other local children, brought about in rage as her form of vengeance. No wonder, then, that the locals shun Arthur, refuse him room and board, and strongly suggest he take the next train back to town.

By Emily Crane For Dailymail. A white female campground manager in Mississippi has been fired after she was filmed pulling a gun on a black couple who say they were only trying to enjoy a picnic by a lake with their dog. Jessica Richardson filmed the woman approaching her and her husband with a gun at the Kampgrounds of America in Starkville, north-east of Jacksonville, on Sunday. The woman, who manages the campground, asked the couple to leave when she found out they didn't have a reservation.
Ominous noises are a fixture on the soundtrack. In color, this is hit or miss. The two biggest jolts are in the commercial, though judging by the audience reaction at my screening, not many people have seen those TV ads. This is an odd sequel in that its titular character has been reduced to a supporting role.
