Snapchat’s Bitmoji Friendmojis to Launch within iMessage Soon

If you have an iOS device, you'll soon be able to use graphics a lot more personalized than emoji when chatting with friends. For the first time ever, Friendmojis -- Bitmoji stickers that feature you and a friend -- will be available outside of Snapchat. You'll be able to access you and your friend's mini mes through the Bitmoji keyboard for iOS, though both of you should have created cartoon versions of yourselves, of course. You'll be able to find Friendmojis you can use when you tap on the friend icon in the upper right corner of the keyboard, though you can also search for specific contacts. The most recent friend you've talked to will appear at the top of the results, so it's a lot easier to find Friendmojis for your closest pals. Is this a part of Snapchat's plan to make sure you're hooked on Bitmojis before Facebook's version arrives? We have no idea. But Snapchat says the feature will roll out slowly over the coming days, so you'll see Friendmojis pop up in the iOS Bitmoji keyboard in the near future. If you still can't see your BFFmojis, try doing that! Buyer's Guide.

Set Up Friendmoji on iOS Bitmoji Keyboard

Apple announced its new Memoji feature as part of iOS 12 earlier this week and continuing the theme, the folks over at Snapchat are expanding their use of Bitmoji characters in iOS. In the next few days, users can expect to see an update for the iPhone and iPad that will allow them to send personalized Friendmojis or Bitmoji stickers that include both them and a friend all from within Apples Messages app. As of right now, Bitmoji can be used via a keyboard extension for those who want to send them from within Messages, but the new update will usher in a change that will make combo Friendmojis available outside the actual Snaptchat app for the very first time. If users have both their Snapchat and Bitmoji accounts linked, then Friendmojis can also be sent from within Messages. From here, users will see their Snapchat friends, with a tap of those friends kicking off the customizable generation of Friendmojis. All this comes alongside the Memoji announcement that will potentially see everyone using their own, customized avatar for things like sending messages and even making FaceTime calls when iOS 12 arrives later this year.
